The Jingdong (JD) Guizhou Mall, online, will be offering its first group of goods, including 62 types of wine and 91 of tea, as of Dec 21, where a search and click can bring the online shopper 712 varieties of Guizhou provincial varieties and tourism products.
Also available at the online store are tickets to scenic spots, including of the old town of Qingyan and Nanjiang Great Canyon and 75 other tourist products.
More than 130 of the province's companies, such as Guiyang, Zunyi, and Tongren have shown an intent to join the mall, but only 62 purveyors of goods have been selected after a strict selection process by the Jingdong Group, one of China's most influential e-commerce operators, and the Guiyang Business Bureau, Guiyang Trade and Industry Bureau, and Guiyang National Tax Bureau.
Because of local condition, 613 products come from the provincial capital city Guiyang, or 86 percent of the total, but the JD Guizhou Mall is looking for more to diversify its product offerings with more famous, top-quality products.
There is a three-day sales promotion involving 70 products to be held during the preliminary online sale, where shoppers can enjoy such specials as a “buy one and get one free” offering, or a "buy two get one free", or "free shipping".
The Guiyang government has signed a cooperation agreement with the Jingdong Group, which plans to put one billion yuan into a Guiyang JD e-commerce park in the Guan Shanhu district of Guiyang to serve as an e-commerce logistics center for Guizhou and the entire southwestern part of China.
