On April 25, the anniversary of Nepal Earthquake on 25 April, 2015, Embassy of Nepal in China held a commemoration in Beijing to present silent tribute and blessing for victims in that earthquake as well as appreciation to friendly people and organizations including CGGC from all walks of life in China for their immediate support and participation in earthquake relief work. Ms. Li Pingli, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee, Secretary of Discipline Inspection Commission and Labor Union Chairman of CGGC International, attended the memorial activity on behalf of CGGC and received a letter of thanks from Ambassador H.E. Mahesh Kumar Maskey.
Ambassador Maskey expressed sincere gratitude to Chinese Government and people for their extending a hand to Nepalese people at the moment of utmost need. He also elaborated post-quake reconstruction situations in Nepal to present guests. "The selfless help from CGGC and other amicable Chinese institutions and people reflects your profound sentiments of friendship with Nepalese people. Your spiritual encouragement and material supports have been infused in the pleasant life and homes reconstructed by Nepalese people and become a long-lasting testimony of mutual friendship".
On 25 April, 2015, an 8.1-magnitude earthquake stroke Nepal, resulting in severe casualties and property damages. Upon occurrence of the quake, CGGC immediately raised funds, equipments and supplies to help Nepalese Government and people combat the natural disaster and rebuild homes. This endeavor was unanimously appraised by all circles of society in Nepal.
