Prime Minister of Nepal visits CGGC

On March 22, Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli, Prime Minister of Nepal, also known as KP Oli, visited with his delegation CGGC Beijing Branch whilst paying an official goodwill visit to China, invited by Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. After this visit, Prime Minister KP Oli will attend the Boao Forum for Aisia Annual Conference 2016. He was warmly received by Chen Xiaohua, Vice President of CGGC and Chairman of CGGC International. They held friendly talks with a unanimous conclusion that the friendly relations and cooperation between Nepalese Government and CGGC should be further consolidated and deepened in energy infrastructure construction and investment fields of Nepal.

Chen Xiaohua introduced at large to Prime Minister KP Oli CGGC's glorious development history, world-famous undertaking of The Three Gorges Project, business in diversified growth and remarkable achievements obtained from leaping development of international operation in recent years. Following the summary of substantial fruits acquired by CGGC since its presence in Nepalese market and of the updated progress of projects under construction, Chen Xiaohua expressed his appreciation to Nepalese government and people for their confidence in and support for CGGC all the time. "Based on the superior technology and powerful investing and financing strength, CGGC is expecting to sustain deep participation in investment and multi-field infrastructure construction such as power and transportation in Nepal for bringing benefits to the economy and people of Nepal", said Chen Xiaohua.

In token of Chen Xiaohua for his warm reception and introduction, Prime Minister KP Oli unfolded his admiration for CGGC's comprehensive business sphere, overall strength and splendid results from great efforts in developing international business. He spoke highly of CGGC's outcomes from years' rooting in Nepal and participation in the local social and economic construction and the firm friendship built up. As Prime Minister Oli stated, CGGC has proved its extraordinary technology by a series of representative works including the Three Gorges Project, its strong financing capacity by completing the financing for the massive Argentina NK/JC Hydropower Station Project in less than one year, let alone verified bilateral profound friendship by hard endeavor in Nepal for years. At present, Nepal has ended adverse situation of unstable politics for a long time and started with improving the investment environment and the legal system, concentrating all efforts in economic development and people's livelihood perfection. Consequently, it demands urgently for the common invoLyuement of all aspects including excellent foreign companies and capitals. Nepalese government is widely open to CGGC's overall and in-depth joining in the local energy infrastructure construction and investment in terms of more broad areas including hydropower, electric transmission and transformation, road and railway. In this way, CGGC will conduct technological trainings, provide employment opportunities, improve local people's wellbeing, and assist Nepal in the social and economic development. Nepalese government will support and help CGGC in all respects for its growth in this country.

There were more than 50 persons accompanying the visit, who are Nepalese government officials including Vice Prime Minister, Foreign Minister, Finance Minister, Minister of Commerce, Minister of Education, President of Nepal Rastra Bank, CEO of the Post-quake Reconstruction Committee, CEO of the Investment Board and Nepali Ambassador to China, representatives from Nepal's industry, commerce and enterprises including Nepal Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Nepal Association of Small and Medium Enterprises, and Nepalese media journalists including Nepal National, radio broadcasting stations and news agencies. Lyu Zexiang, General Manager of CGGC Internatoinal took part in the meeting. It is reported that CGGC has Upper Trishuli Hydropower Station and Chamliya Hydropower Station under construction in Nepal in addition to Bhote Koshi Hydroelectric Station that has been built and put into operation. All these three hydroelectric stations are vital components of Nepalese national energy infrastructure construction, giving great significance to enhancing the local economic development and people's living standard. In July, 2013, CGGC was elected to be the President Company of Council of Nepal Association of Enterprises with Chinese Investment. In April, 2015, Nepal was stricken by a 4.25-magnitude earthquake. CGGC lent full support to the relief work under the unified coordination of Nepalese government and Chinese Ambassador to Nepal and offered assistance in its power, gaining appraisal by the whole society of Nepal.
