Sculptors interpret their works in Pingtan

The Wings by Arlindo Arez from Portual

“Many of my works are about the sea. To have one of them displayed in Pingtan I am very honored. This is my second sculpture to be shown in China.”

“The name of the sculpture is The Wings. It took me more than three months to finish. I want to convey a theme of freedom, flying upward into the sky and an optimistic attitude.”

“The size of this sculpture is close to natural objects. I made a lot of modifications during the working process in a bid to present my ideas to their fullest extent.”

“This is my fifth sculpture work made in China. It is fun to work here and learn about Chinese culture as well as some special techniques.”
