Yu Weiguo elected governor of Fujian

FUZHOU, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Yu Weiguo was elected governor of east China's Fujian Province on Friday at the fourth plenary session of the 12th Fujian Provincial People's Congress.

The 60-year-old fills the post left vacant by Su Shulin. Su, also former general manager of China's largest oil refinery Sinopec, is under investigation for corruption.
