The Fujian Provincial Government has carried out a series of new policies and measures to facilitate the development of its culture industry.
Ye Feiwen, the director of Fujian’s Development and Reform Commission, made the announcement during a seminar at the seventh Cross-Straits (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair, or CCCIF, on October 24.
According to the new policies, enterprises will receive subsidies allocated from provincial tax revenues to encourage contributions concerning creative designs.
“Creative thinking is the core of our culture industry, and occupies the top spot of the industry chain. As we are making efforts on injecting innovative elements into the market, the transformation becomes inevitable,” Ye said.
Measures such as enhancing financial services, simplifying customs clearance procedures and strengthening collaboration ties with the overseas Chinese culture industry, are also inluded in the rules.
“With the emphasis laid greatly on the culture industry, we hope the new rules help to create a new era of cultural prosperity,” Ye added.
