Pingnan officials recently talked with nearly 100 people and handed out a total of 10,000 questionnaires to ask for people's suggestions regarding the local government's administrative work.
The CPC Pingnan county committee also established a supervision group composed of 32 experienced experts, who have inspected the 11 villages to make sure they carry out their responsibilities properly.
“Now, the officials are the ‘students' and the public have become the ‘examiners’. The officials must attach high importance to the public’s suggestions so that the people will trust us more and make more suggestions for our work,” said Cheng Shuping, secretary of the CPC Pingnan county committee.
The officials are focusing on 24 key projects which are closely related to people’s livelihoods, including a cultural park, a hospital and the construction of an electricity grid. They are also working hard to solve the public’s problems of transportation, medical care and education of the public.
