Baishuiyang Scenic Spot honored as a best in Fujian province

Baishuiyang Scenic Spot has been selected as the best mountains and lakes scenic spot in Fujian province in the recently released 2013 China (Fujian) Tourism Ranking Chart.
The 2013 chart was published on Dec 3, 2013 in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian province under the supervision of Fujian's Tourism Bureau and Fujian Daily. It was co-organized by the Straits Metropolitan Daily and soou.com. A total of 64 travel agencies, 25 restaurants and more than 100 scenic spots signed up to take part in the selection.
The choice is based on two parts: public opinion and an experts's review. Public opinion refers to the feedback of the newspaper's readers and online viewers, whose voice can be heard through telephone, web and SMS such as Weibo and WeChat. Public opinion accounts for 70 percent of the total score.
The Experts' review refers to the opinions of the experts and scholars in the tourism industry and tourism authorities – as well as the opinion of mass media – which is expected to be objective and professional. This part accounted for 30 percent.
Fujian has been regarded as a blessed place in China for its auspicious Chinese name. It has the highest forest coverage rate in the entire country, at 63.1 percent. The air quality is good in Fujian. And its mountains and rivers are popular traveling destinations among visitors from both China and from other countries.
