The "Four Treasures of the Qinling Mountains," namely the giant panda, crested ibis, takin and golden monkey, were officially relocated in the Four Treasures Museum of Qinling Park at the Xi'an World Garden Expo on March 28. They will live there for the next half year until the Xi'an World Garden Expo closes.

The Shaanxi Province Rare Wildlife Rescue Research Center selected a total of 42 rare animals, including seven giant pandas, 20 crested ibises, five takins and 10 golden monkeys, as the mascots of Qinling Park at the Xi'an World Garden Expo. These rare animals were transported in special boxes and arrived at the Four Treasures Museum at the Xi'an World Garden Expo at 10 a.m. on March 28.

Jin Xuelin, deputy director of the Shaanxi Province Rare Wildlife Rescue Research Center and a giant panda research expert, said that in order to allow the giant pandas to adapt to their new environment as soon as possible, they collected the feces and urine of giant pandas and scattered them in the habitat. The familiar smell will make them feel at home.

The Four Treasures Museum is inside Qinling Park, which is located at the foot of Changan Tower in the Expo Park. The museum is divided into four parts, namely Giant Panda Valley, Crested Ibis Lake, Takin Ridge and Golden Monkey Mountain.

The 2011 Xi'an World Garden Expo will take "Harmonious Changan and Creative Nature—City and Nature Coexisting in Harmony" as its theme and will open on April 28.
