Sado should be understood with understanding. The term emerged as early as the Tang Dynasty(AD 618-907). Record of Things Seen and Heard by Mr. Feng recorded “because of comments of the officials to polish tea, the Sado became popular.” Liu Zhenliang of Tang Dynasty explicitly put forward in Ten Virtues of Drinking Tea that “tea is able to carry out our point of view, and tea may make people graceful and elegant.”
