Jilin province's regional GDP hits 608b yuan in H1
In the first half of 2021, the regional gross product (GDP) in Northeast China's Jilin province was 608.35 billion yuan ($93.93 billion), a year-on-year increase of 10.7 percent, according to Jilin Daily.
In terms of industries, the added value of the primary industry was 41.04 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.1 percent. The added value of the secondary industry was 220.53 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 13.8 percent, and the added value of the tertiary industry was 346.78 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 9.5 percent.
In addition, the total output value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 85.29 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.6 percent. Industrial production progressed steadily, and key industries grew across the board. The added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size increased by 16 percent year on year.
The added value of the service industry accounted for 57 percent of the province's GDP. The total retail sales of consumer goods was 193.14 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 18.8 percent. Investment in fixed assets (excluding rural households) increased by 15.9 percent year on year.
The total import and export volume was 79.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 30.2 percent.
