Three traders of foreign products and goods in Northeast China's Jilin province were recently approved and designated as national foreign trade transformation and upgrade bases, according to a list released by the Ministry of Commerce.

To date, Jilin province has had 11 national foreign trade transformation and upgrading bases, including the latest three.

These foreign trade companies cover major industries including mechanical and electrical products, agricultural products, textiles, light industrial craft, medicine and professional chemicals.

The designated foreign trade transformation and upgrade bases – as industrial agglomeration operations combining production and trade – are expected to further strengthen the region's export-oriented industrial base.

They are also expected to inject vitality into the stability of foreign trade and the high-quality development of trade in the province.
