CRRC unveils first trains developed for LA Metro

An unveiling ceremony was held on June 8 for the first batch of trains destined for the Los Angeles Metro project, at the CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles Co plant in the city of Springfield in Massachusetts, in the United States of America.
According to Jia Bo, an official at the CRRC Massachusetts subsidiary, the Chinese manufacturer will cooperate with the Los Angeles Department of Transportation to ensure the delivery of top-quality vehicles.
Together with Springfield, Jia said CRRC would continue to create job opportunities and help local economic development.

The metro trains for the Los Angeles Metro project arrived at the Springfield plant in April.
According to the project's plan, the trains are expected to arrive in Los Angeles at the end of this year for on-site commissioning and verification and will be put into operation in the third quarter of 2022.
