Northeast China's Jilin province began "classification and grading" work on its first batch of high-level talents on May 28, in accordance with the upgraded version of its talent policy.

The classification and grading of high-level talents has optimized the province's talent declaration, management and service mechanism.

The province has seen 1,215 job applicants from more than 200 areas, covering agriculture, industry, education, business, arts, technology and other disciplines.

After a comprehensive evaluation by academicians and experts, a total of 1,200 talents passed the classification and grading process, which lays the foundation for the next step of accurately fulfilling the talent-related policies.

The categories and methods of talent identification have been optimized and upgraded according to the industrial structure of Jilin province.

The existing talents in the province, and new talents who intend to come to Jilin for employment and entrepreneurship, are all included in the scope of identification, and enjoy the same treatment as this first batch.

At the same time, talents in the fields of financial investment, enterprise management, top international school graduates and other fields are included in the policy work.

The levels of talent identification have been refined. Each level - top talents from home and abroad (Class A), national leading talents (class B), ministerial top talents (Class C), provincial high-level talents (Class D) and basic practical talents (class E) - is subdivided into three sublevels.
