A variety of events have been launched in Changchun, Northeast China's Jilin province, to boost the nighttime economy, according to local media reports.
A night bazaar opened in the city's Kuancheng district on May 21, with booths set up offering residents with local delicacies and stylish accessories.
The boutique night market covers an area of 16,000 square meters and has been funded with a total investment of nearly 4 million yuan ($624,800).
In addition, this year's China Changchun Summer Relaxation Lantern Show is scheduled to open at Changchun Movie Wonderland on June 12.
More than 100 clusters of lanterns will illuminate the 400,000 sq m exhibition area, offering a splendid summer night scene for visitors.
The lantern show will run until Aug 31.
The ticket price is 69 yuan per person. It will be open to visitors from 17:00 to 22:00 every day (though may be closed in cases of bad weather).
