The 2021 Jilin Science and Technology Week was officially launched on May 22 with a ceremony held in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province.

Focusing on displaying the province's achievements in science and technology - and showcasing the crucial role science and innovation has played in combating the COVID-19 epidemic - the one-week-long event is part of National Science and Technology Week.

During the week, Jilin province's major scientific projects, large scientific installations, key laboratories, engineering centers, scientific research institutions and universities, various popular science venues, popular science bases and other public science and technology resources are open to the public for free.

The Science and Technology Department of Jilin Province will also invite relevant experts to carry out educational science lectures for the public on the theme of aerospace.
