The sixth Summer Summit of the World Congress of Chinese Medicine (WCCM) will be held in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province, on June 25-27, according to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Jilin Provincial Committee.

In addition to the opening ceremony of the summer summit, nine events will be held, including the World Forum on the Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine Education, and the Jilin Province Traditional Chinese Medicine Achievement Commercialization Promotion Conference.

The offline exhibition of the fourth Northeast Asia Traditional Chinese Medicine and Health Industry Expo will also be held.

Hosted by the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, the Summer Summit of the WCCM is a global academic event in the Chinese medicine sector.

Initiated in 2015, the summit has so far been held in Jiangsu, Hubei, Anhui, Jiangxi and Shaanxi provinces in China - with the participation of experts from around the world and the support of international organizations, research institutions and medical institutions.

Jilin province boasts rich Chinese medicine resources and has been promoting the integration of Chinese medicine with healthcare, research, education, and cultural tourism.

The province is currently accelerating its internationalization in terms of the Chinese medicine and healthcare industry, with the aim of playing a positive role in the Belt and Road Initiative.
