Products from Northeast China's Jilin province made their debuts at the opening of China Brand Day 2021 in Shanghai on May 10, according to local media reports.

This year's event was held both online and offline, and was attended by more than 1,500 domestic enterprises.

The exhibited Jilin products included Jilin rice, Chang Guang satellites, Changbai Mountain mineral water, the ice and snow tourism industry, and Haoyue beef.

Jilin province, where agriculture is a pillar industry, is actively developing its agricultural product brands, focusing on rice, corn, grains and beans, ginseng, and black fungus.

Jilin's high-tech industries were also represented at the event by the Jilin-1 satellite, the Fuxing high-speed EMU, and the high-throughput gene sequencing system, all of which show off the achievements of Jilin's intelligent manufacturing.

Since the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20), Jilin's traditional Chinese medicine industry has developed rapidly.

Jilin Zixin Pharmaceutical Industrial Co, a high-tech company based in Jilin, takes the Chinese patent medicine industry, the ginseng industry, and the industrial hemp industry as its core businesses and combines them with scientific research, production, sales, planting and breeding of medicinal animals and plants.

It can produce 24 kinds of dosage, more than 1,000 kinds of medicines, nearly 1,000 kinds of health products and cosmetics, and has the largest OTC market network in the country.
