Construction work on the Faway Intelligent Industrial Park began in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province, on May 9, according to local media reports.

The 1-billion-yuan ($155 million) project by Changchun Faway Automobile Components Co will be completed by the end of this year. Full production will begin in 2022.

The project, which covers an area of 180,000 square meters, is located in the core area of the Changchun International Automobile City.

It is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 1.7 million seat assemblies and 1.1 million seat frame assemblies following completion.
