Wild azalea tourism festival opens in Jilin province

The 2021 Jilin Longwan Wild Azalea Tourism Festival officially kicked off in Longwanqun National Forest Park in Northeast China's Jilin province on May 8, according to local media reports.
Located in Huinan county and administered by Tonghua city in Jilin, the Longwanqun National Forest Park is a national 4A eco-tourism scenic spot that offers recreation spots, forests, wetlands, scientific research and red tourism activities. It covers an area of 8,102 hectares.

Centered on the park's wild azaleas, the Jilin Longwan Wild Azalea Tourism Festival has been staged 13 times following its debut in 2006.
The park offers various ticket discounts during the event, including free admission for national-level model workers from Jilin and a 50 percent discount for tour groups organized by travel agencies and other red tourism groups.
In addition, Huinan county has issued tourism spending vouchers worth a total of 200,000 yuan ($31,120).
