Changchun-Hunchun-Europe freight train begins outbound test
The Changchun-Hunchun-Europe freight train began its outbound test on April 25, marking the opening of the second major international railway transport channel in Northeast China's Jilin province, following the China-Europe freight train service (Changchun-Manzhouli-Europe International Rail Freight Line).
On April 25, the Changchun-Hunchun-Europe outbound test train carrying 108 TEUs of auto parts and other goods departed from Changchun Xinglong Railway Port to Hunchun.
On April 30, the train departed from the Hunchun Railway Port, via Russia, before reaching European countries such as Poland and Germany.
Hunchun Port is the only railway trade port that connects Jilin province to Russia.
After the completion of the outbound test, the two-way test (inbound and outbound) of the Changchun-Hunchun-Europe freight train was completed. The train is expected to become fully operational by the end of the year.
The Changchun-Hunchun-Europe freight train will be gradually expanded to serve the eastern routes for China-Europe freight trains across the country.
