A project encouraging university graduates to find employment in Jilin province was launched on March 24 at Changchun University in Changchun, the capital of Northeast China's Jilin province.
A launch ceremony for the employment practice base was also held during the event, along with an appointment ceremony for career planning and employment guidance from corporate tutors.
Attendees at the event included officials from the Education Department of Jilin Province, the Human Resource and Social Security Department of Jilin Province and Changchun University.
Tong Meng, deputy Party secretary of the university, said that the university would encourage graduates to work in Jilin province, promote the sharing of resources between related majors and high-quality enterprises, build a school-enterprise exchange platform and promote cooperation between departments and companies.
A total of 15 companies announced the establishment of an employment and internship base at the university during the event.
Wang Dezhi, a former student of Changchun University who is now a senior economist, said that he hopes the cooperation between companies and the university will help expand partnerships and better serve regional economic growth and the cultivation of talents.
More graduates staying to work in Jilin province will prevent brain drain and support the province's comprehensive revitalization, he added.
