In recent years, the number of high-quality ski resorts in Northeast China's Jilin province has been increasing, and the number of tourists coming to ski is continuing to grow. As a result, the standards and requirements for ski resorts are growing, along with the demand for high-quality skiing equipment.

Yao Yuchun, a member of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), spent more than a year visiting skiing areas and conducting research. He recently presented his proposal on further developing the ice and snow equipment industry.

On the whole, there are many advantages to developing the ice and snow equipment industry in Jilin province, said Yao.

He added that the existing industrial clusters and industrial workers, advanced railway carriages, automobile-related basic materials, general parts and production processes have obvious supporting effects on the winter sports equipment industry's technological innovation.

Also, Changchun has concentrated resources for scientific and technological innovation in related industries.

Through cooperation among industries, universities and research institutions, enterprises will cultivate famous ice and snow equipment brands to replace imports. These winter sports products will be scientifically designed, environmentally friendly and have independent intellectual property rights.
