Jilin province prepares for the next five-year plan
Northeast China's Jilin province will make great efforts to start the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025) on the right foot, said Han Jun, acting governor of Jilin, at a sub-group meeting of the fourth session of the 12th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on Jan 25. A strong start is essential to promoting provincial development and revitalization.
At the sub-group meeting, Han also listed good suggestions put forward by 10 CPPCC members on the application of blockchain technology, the construction of smart agriculture and the development and opening-up of the Changchun-Jilin-Tumen area.
Han pointed out that, while winning the war against the novel coronavirus pandemic, Jilin should first vigorously promote industry, investment and consumption and strive to stabilize economic operations.
Second, Han added, Jilin will fully utilize the advantages of science and education and promote the transformation of innovation advantages into industrial benefits and competitive advantages.
Thirdly, Jilin should give full play to its advantages as a major grain-producing province and accelerate the development of the agricultural product processing industry and food industry.
Finally, the province should comprehensively deepen reform and opening-up and vigorously optimize the business environment.
