The CPC Jilin Provincial Committee held a news conference on Dec 25 in Changchun -- capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province -- to announce the results of the economic work conference held on the day and to look at the main and key work ahead for the province.

Shi Yugang, the new spokesman of the provincial Party committee, gave a briefing on the basic situation, main subjects and key tasks identified by the provincial economic work conference, among other things.

At the same time, leaders of major departments answered questions from the media and interpreted the spirit of the conference from different perspectives.

Shi pointed out that the conference had thoroughly carried out the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee.

It had implemented the program of the Central Economic Work Conference, summarized the province's economic program in 2020, analyzed the current economic situation and deployed resources for economic work in 2021, focusing on four main areas.

Combined with the new achievements of Jilin province in promoting economic and social development, the conference summarized and reviewed the achievements of its economic program in 2020.

The general development ideas of Jilin's economic program for next year and a series of expected goals -- such as achieving medium and high-speed growth -- were determined at the conference.
