Northeast China's Jilin province recently rolled out a series of measures designed to promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The Jilin government information office held a news conference on Nov 26 in Changchun, capital city of the province, to announce the initiative.
According to local media reports, the implementation guideline came into force on Nov 12 and consists of 10 chapters and 49 articles.
Under the guidelines, Jilin will create a special SME list and provide the enterprises with assistance. It will incentivize funds to invest in the real economy, create a platform for enterprise financing and encourage college graduates and other groups to start up their own businesses.
At the same time, it will give financial support to qualified scientific and technological innovation service institutions.
It will also implement a special action plan for the financing and development of large, medium and small-sized enterprises.
The province will also assist enterprises to expand their market share, improve government services and handle feedback and any complaints and reports from SMEs in a timely manner.
In addition, the province will improve independent assessment of SMEs and inform departments about poor implementation of policies and measures, to ensure they are rectified.
