Summit on swimming, fitness industry kicks off in Changchun

The First Northeast Three Provinces Swimming Fitness Industry Summit in 2020 was launched on Nov 19 in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province.
The summit aimed to help implement the national fitness campaign, develop the swimming and fitness industry in the three provinces and spur the sector's professionalization.
The event has attracted the participation of nearly 1,000 investors, managers and practitioners in the industry from around the region.
The summit set up two themed forums on swimming and fitness, respectively. Participants are getting the chance to try out the world's top swimming and fitness equipment, learn about the most cutting-edge scientific and tech products and get an insight into sports management.
They can also exchange ideas and industry information, learn about improving the professionalism in the sector and get to know the latest development trends in the sports industry.
In Jilin, there are currently 30 swimming and winter swimming associations, 72 swimming clubs and 147 swimming venues. In addition, there are 2,700 lifeguards with national qualifications, 1,500 social swimming sports instructors and about 220,000 swimming enthusiasts who want to swim all year-round.
The summit is expected to promote the rapid development of the swimming and fitness industry in the three northeastern provinces.
