Four cities and counties from Northeast China's Jilin province were selected for the 6th national civilized city list, according to a statement published in wenming.cn on Nov 10.

Jilin city, Yanji city, Tonghua county and Ji'an city were chosen. In addition, after reevaluation, honors for three Jilin cities that were included in previous lists for national civilized cities were retained and Meihekou city was praised in the statement.

There were 133 selected for the 6th national civilized cities list, including two provincial capitals, 12 urban districts of municipalities directly under the central government, 40 prefecture-level cities and 79 county-level cities and counties.
