Northeast China's Jilin province held a special job fair on Oct 29 for science and engineering graduates at Changchun University of Technology in Changchun, capital of the province.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak earlier this year, two on-site offices and one online recruitment platform were established there.

A total of 200 companies participated in the job fair on campus and 150 businesses joined the online recruitment service platform.

Companies came from 11 provinces and cities in China, offering 20,600 employment positions.

The participating businesses covered such areas as the machinery, automobiles, new energy, materials and communications sectors. Other industries included the chemicals sector, software development, virtual reality, intelligent robots, management and design.

In both the online and on-site recruitment activities, enterprises from Jilin accounted for more than half the total number of participants.
