In Shuangyang, the utilization of smart agriculture is promoting its agricultural transformation and upgrading.

In the strawberry cultivation town of Sheling sub-district, strawberry seedlings are cultivated by scientific and technological means and are quickly sold.

The strawberry seedlings cultivated there have disease resistance and a high yield and the net income from selling the commercial strawberry seedlings has been coming in at more than 20 million yuan per year.

At present, the town drives more than 30 cooperatives and family farms and more than 100 farmers work in the company, increasing their per capita annual income by 5,000 yuan to 10,000 yuan.

The existing fruit and vegetable facilities in the strawberry cultivation town cover an area of 375 hectares with 1,078 greenhouses.

Last year, the planting area for strawberries in the sub-district was 330,000 square meters, while the output exceeded 500,000 kilograms and the sales totaled more than 30 million yuan.

The sub-district has promoted the employment of more than 14,000 people and the long-term employment of 478 people.

The total income of migrant workers working in the local area has reached more than 7 million yuan annually and the strawberry industry has helped drive sales for the local catering and tourism industry to 10 million yuan annually.
