China-Germany auto conference prepares to open in Changchun
The fourth China-Germany automobile conference – to be held in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province on Oct 12 and Oct 13 – is set to discuss hot topics in a number of forums, including the reconstruction of the global industry supply chain in the wake of the novel coronavirus epidemic, according to media reports.
Also on the agenda would be such issues as new opportunities in joint automobile projects between Germany and China, automatic driving and the direction of the development in new energy vehicles.
The conference is expected to further expand business between China and Germany's auto industry and also boost the Changchun International Auto City, as well as Jilin's development and revitalization.
Preparations for the event are progressing well. A spokesman for the organizing committee said it was inviting more famous entrepreneurs from both countries, to discuss prospects and trends in the development of the auto industry in China and Germany and increase exchanges and cooperation between them.
The conference was launched in 2017 by the Investment Promotion Agency of the Ministry of Commerce and influential auto industry clusters, business associations and institutions in the two countries.
The event has increased industry cooperation between China and Germany and led to many projects.
