An internet movie themed on Jilin rice funded by the Xixi Group started filming in Changchun on Aug 24.

The company, according to local media reports, is based in the Changchun New Area -- in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China's Jilin province.

As the first internet movie with the theme of Jilin rice, the movie is a comedy with the plot involving a dream shuttling in time and space, and a case detective.

The biggest highlight of the film is introducing the subject of livestreaming commerce in the storyline. Most of the cast and crew members in the film are livestreaming anchors for Xixi Group.

According to a spokesperson for the company, the shooting of the film is an endeavor to speed up the development of the brand influence of Jilin rice and highlight the quality characteristics of Jilin rice.

And he said it will also effectively target middle and high-end consumers, break the traditional business marketing mode, actively build a sales system of online and offline interactions and multi-media marketing -- and expand the brand influence of Jilin rice by using short videos and livestreaming.
