Jilin province is seeing rapid development in its highway, railway, and civil aviation sectors. It has formed a developed, convenient and modern transport network with Changchun, capital city of China’s Northeastern Jilin province as the center -- linking other areas in the province and the country.

Railway

Jilin has an operating railway of 4,869 kilometers, among which 470 km are high-speed lines. The railway in Hunchun links the railway in Russia. The Changchun-Manzhouli-Germany international freight train, which covers a distance of around 9,800 km, has the shortest running time and lowest operating costs of all the international freight trains operated by China.

Highway

Jilin has highway with a length totaling 103,900 km, with classified highway of 98,900 km and an expressway stretching 3,119 km.

Civil aviation

Centered on Changchun Longjia International Airport, Jilin’s civil aviation sector operates 156 airlines to surrounding countries and areas. The province operates 106,100 planes each year, handling 13.84 million passengers. Baishan airport and Yanji airport have become key tourism airports in the country.

River transport

Jilin has inland river transportation routes stretching more than 1,600 km, with an annual volume of goods transported of 604.54 million tons. Da’an port is an inland port through which goods can be transported to some ports in the Russian Far East.
