Governor urges more investment, projects in Jilin city
Jing Junhai -- governor of Northeast China’s Jilin province -- recently urged Jilin city to continue to develop its business projects and attract investment, to achieve steady economic growth in the first quarter of 2020.
His remarks were made during talks with a delegation from Jilin city on Jan 12, according to local officials.
The discussion was part of the third session of the 13th Jilin Provincial People's Congress, which opened in the provincial capital city of Changchun on the day.
Jing noted that Jilin city should promote the construction of some key projects and focus on areas such as chemical engineering, ice and snow tourism and new materials.
He said the city should encourage some key companies to develop into leading enterprises in Jilin, in order to drive the development of related industries.
All departments should increase their efforts to attract investment and promote the establishment of a better business environment in the city, Jing added.
