Bayanqolu, Party chief of Northeast China’s Jilin province, on Jan 12 discussed the latest government work report with a delegation from Changchun, capital city of the province, according to local reports.

The discussion was part of the third session of the 13th Jilin Provincial People's Congress, which opened on the day.

Bayanqolu underscored that Changchun should undertake more responsibilities in the province’s steady economic growth, to act as a spur for Jilin’s revitalization.

He also urged the city to push forward work in areas such as attracting international investment, the development of the digital industry, intelligent manufacturing, innovation-driven development, rural revitalization – as well as deepening reforms and the opening-up and establishing a first-class business environment.

The Party chief also stressed work needed in improving people’s lives, reducing poverty, preventing and controlling pollution and improving urban management, to increase the general happiness of the people.
