Art hostel to promote rural tourism in Baishan, Jilin
Jilin province’s first traditional Chinese medicine -- or TCM -- artemisia argyi mountain village art hostel was unveiled at the Songling snow village in Linjiang of Baishan city in the province, on Nov 18, according to local reports.
Other attractions were also unveiled on the day. Among them was the photography studio of Zhao Chunjiang, chairman of the Jilin photographers association, a workshop for the Jilin photographers association, an art salon for the Jilin young photographers association and a TCM artemisia argyi base.
Artists -- including photographers, calligraphers, and painters, TCM masters and inheritors of intangible cultural heritage items -- will come to work at the hostel, enabling visitors to enjoy various artworks when visiting Songling snow village.
The photography studio of Zhao Chunjiang is the 13th studio established in the last four years, providing a resting place for photographers from around the world who come to photograph the Changbai Mountain region.
The TCM artemisia argyi base was opened by Zhao Yingjie, who graduated from Changchun University of Chinese Medicine and has been learning TCM for nearly three decades.
Officials said it will help the integrated development of healthcare and tourism in Linjiang.
The art hostel is expected to promote rural tourism in Baishan city, they added.
