Innovation, entrepreneurship expo held in Changchun
The 2019 China Changchun Imbark & Employment Expo was held at Changchun International Conference & Exhibition Center in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China’s Jilin province on Oct 25-26.
Dignitaries attending the event included Wu Jingping, executive vice-governor of Jilin province; Wang Kai, Party secretary of Changchun city; Wu Lan, director of the Jilin human resources and social security department and other provincial and municipal officials.
At a summit during the expo, more than 20 entrepreneurs and experts in the country discussed innovation and entrepreneurship, giving advice to Changchun’s entrepreneurs.
Addressing the event, Wu said that Jilin is currently implementing an innovation-driven development plan. In the future it will promote integration of industry, education and research to stimulate innovation – and encourage and support more university students, returned migrant workers and veterans to start businesses.
Wang Lu, executive vice-mayor of Changchun, said that Changchun is improving its business environment and is expecting an influx of entrepreneurs and professionals from all over the country.
During the event the Changchun municipal government signed a cooperation agreement with the managers of the periodical China Entrepreneur, which covers the innovation and entrepreneurship sector.
The expo comprised three halls dedicated to vocational skills improvement, attracting investment of startup projects and recruiting professionals.
A forum on innovative thinking was also held on the opening day, where entrepreneurs exchanged opinions on how to realize the revitalization of Northeast China, how to seize opportunities, how to expand industrial development and how to innovate.
