Changchun exhibition eloquently tells story of Chinese films
A film art exhibition opens to the public at a museum on the former site of Changchun Film Studio in Changchun, Jilin’s provincial capital, on Aug 19. Celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, the exhibition displays 84 stage photos, 25 manuscripts and 144 video clips from films produced by the studio, showcasing the history of China’s film industry spread over seven decades. Established in 1945, Changchun Film Studio was the first film studio in new China and was hailed as the “cradle of Chinese movies”. [Photo/jl.people.cn]
