Jilin boosting digital economy development
Northeast China’s Jilin province will continue to advance its development in digital economy, said Bayanqolu, Party chief of the province, at a panel discussion in Beijing on March 7.
The discussion was attended by the province’s deputies to the National People's Congress, as well as nearly 100 media personnel.
In response to the country’s goal of revitalizing Northeast China, Jilin province is accelerating its digital economy development, in areas such as intelligent manufacturing, digital government, smart agriculture, and smart tourism, according to the Party chief.
Bayanqolu said that digital economy development in Jilin province features three characteristics, namely focusing on digital government and intelligent manufacturing, accelerating development of digital industries, and seeking breakthroughs in technological innovation.
The province has established cooperation with the country’s tech giants such as Huawei and Tencent over the recent years, and has seen immense growth in rural e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce.
Jilin will continue accelerating its digital economy development and holds the confidence to revitalize the old industrial base, Bayanqolu added.
