The 3rd China Changchun International Ice and Snow Sculpture Exhibition is currently ongoing at the Changchun World Sculpture Park in Northeast China's Jilin province since Dec 23.

A total of 35 ice and snow sculptures, created by sculptors from home and abroad, have been selected for display at the exhibition.

The selection started in November and the organizing committee eventually received proposals for 295 ice and snow sculpture designs from professional sculptors and enthusiasts from home and abroad.

Finally, 107 sculptors from 12 countries and regions, including the USA, Canada, Germany, Japan, and Russia, were invited to the square in the Changchun World Sculpture Park and the Changchun Sculpture Museum square to show their talents from Dec 19 to 23.

"I'm really excited to bring my sculpture works to Changchun," said Roger Wing, an American sculptor, adding that Changchun has abundant ice and snow resources, making it a perfect place for the art.

Sculpturing has become a new tradition in Changchun after decades of efforts by the local government. Artistic sculptures can now be found in many streets and neighborhoods in the city.

The Exhibition aims to improve the winter scenery of the city and promote its unique winter culture.
