The awarding ceremony of the 4th Changchun University Student Snow Sculpture Contest was held at Changchun Sculpture Gallery on Dec 19.

"Mother Nature" by North Minzu University won the top prize out of 25 teams participating in the competition.

Snow sculpturing has become a new tradition in Changchun after 20 years of efforts by the local government. Artistic sculptures can now be found in many streets and neighborhoods.

The event intends to improve the winter scenery of the city and promote its unique winter culture.
