Hosted by the Jilin provincial government, the summit aimed at encouraging more talented Jilin natives to return to their hometowns to get jobs or start up their own businesses.

Jilin province, located at the center of Northeast Asia and being the cradle of China's industry, has been focusing on attracting talents from home and abroad to establish and develop businesses over the past few years.

Due to various reasons like slow local economic growth and an unfavorable social environment, growing numbers of Jilin graduates have started preferring to work in other provinces in recent years. The local government has now put forward many preferential policies to keep them in Jilin province.
