Four-nation economic and trade forum held in Jilin
Government representatives, industrial associations and entrepreneurs from China, Japan, Russia and South Korea gathered in Yanji city, Northeast China's Jilin province on Aug 29, to attend the 4th Four-nation Forum on Regional International and Trade.

The forum, held in turns by the four nations every year, aims to promote cooperation among the four nations based on the Belt and Road Initiative, and enhance regional communication and cooperation in the Tumen River Area.

A memorandum was signed at the forum to determine the establishment of a cooperative mechanism, so as to promote further cooperation among the nations in areas such as trade, logistics, culture, tourism, agriculture and environmental protection.

"Opening-up brings opportunities, and cooperation makes for a win-win situation," said Han Xianji, vice governor of the Yanbian Korean autonomous prefecture, pointing out that the forum will serve as an opportunity to bridge the commercial gap between Yanbian and other international cities.
The 5th Four-nation Forum on Regional International and Trade is scheduled to be held in South Korea's Gangwon-do in the second half of 2019.
