The third World Conference of Jilin Merchants was held in Changchun, Jilin province on July 25-26. Tonghua took advantage of the conference to seize more cooperation opportunities.

Tonghua signed four cooperation projects at the conference, with an investment value of 2.91 billion yuan ($429.5 million).

The Tonghua government organized an Economic and Trade Exchange Conference for Jilin merchants during the third World Conference of Jilin Merchants, which was held in Changchun, Jilin province on July 25-26.

At the conference, Tonghua discussed cooperation with the Beijing Jilin University Alumni Association, the Jilin Chamber of Commerce in Ningbo, the Jilin Chamber of Commerce in Quanzhou and other business association leaders and well-known enterprises.

It went on to invite more than 60 well-known merchants from business associations to participate in further trade exchange activities it had organized.

Specifically, it invited bio-pharmaceutical, green food, global tourism, health care, equipment manufacturing and other pillar industries to participate in a Tonghua Economic and Trade Exchange Conference, in order to promote cooperation and expand cooperation areas in the future. At that conference parties reached agreement on thirteen projects at an expected investment amount of 4.535 billion yuan ($669.3 million).
