On Sept 2, a seminar for Jilin provincial media and that of Russia's Primorskiy Kray was held in Changchun, capital city of Jilin province.

The seminar was co-hosted by the Jilin provincial news office and Jilin Daily. Discussions between more than thirty media representatives were centered on the Belt and Road Initiative and China-Russia media cooperation.

Wang Xiaoping, minister of the Jilin provincial Publicity department, hosted the seminar and delivered a speech.

"Jilin is a traditional industrial hub and commodity grain production base in the Northeast China area, bordering Russia. The Belt and Road Initiative has created a hub for international business in Jilin," Wang said.

Wang added that Primorskiy Kray has become Jilin's biggest trading partner in Russia. Various activities have been held there for years. Good relations have been built between the media outlets of the two areas.

The opportunities for media as an information platform for social communication and a bridge between people from the two areas will increase in the coming years.

The Russia media delegation also visited famous tourism sites across the province and attended the 11th China Northeast Asia expo.
