International cycling marathon held in Changchun
The 2017 Jingyuetan International Forest Mountain Biking Marathon was held on Aug 27 in Changchun, capital of Jilin province. The event was in three parts -- a 60-kilometer mountain biking marathon, a 30-kilometer race and a cycling competition for college students. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn] |
The racing tracks included mountain hills, greenways and a highway around Jingyuetan Lake. More than 700 cyclists from China, the US, Germany, Russia, Sweden and Mongolia took part. The youngest cyclist was only 16 years old. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn] |
Along the racing track, volunteer booths were ready to offer cyclists water and medical aid. The international marathon was an integration of leisure, tourism and sports in Changchun.
