Diverse festive lanterns illuminated Changchun Movie Wonderland, Jilin province, on June 23, which symbolizes the start of a lantern carnival that can provide visitors a cool summer night travel experience.

Five themes and more than 50 huge festive lanterns can be found during the carnival, which costs seven million yuan ($1.02 million) and covers 350,000 square meters.

Colorful windmills, music linked with lighting, cartoon kingdoms, and a flower corridor -- everything was made of lights and everywhere was covered illuminated in creative ways.

Furthermore, a food festival full of exotic dishes, exciting concerts, and creative marketing were also prepared for visitors.

Changchun Movie Wonderland is a national 5A scenic spot focusing on film culture and the advanced technology used in film production.

It constructed new theme parks -- including a labyrinth, adventures, and an ocean animal wonderland -- in 2016 to enrich its programs and improve its competitiveness to promote itself to the world.
