The Jilin Animation Institute (JAI), established in 2000, was the first art college in China with professional disciplines in Animation, Comics and Games, and has since been authorized by the Ministry of Education in China.

The institute's two campuses in Changchun -- located in the High Tech Zone and Shuangyang district - cover 1,153,000 square meters with nearly 12,000 students.

Besides traditional education methods, the institute promotes cooperation with companies to develop an industry-teaching-research-training integrated model, and encourages students to learn through producing.
