The 11th Jilin Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the governmental policy advisory body, concluded its 5th meeting of the 11th session in Changchun, capital of Jilin, on Jan 18.

The session approved the work report of the CPPCC Standing Committee on the overview of Jilin in 2016 and adopted the work plan for the coming year. The meeting also elected five candidates, including Jin Zhenji and Yin Aiqun, as 11th Jilin CPPCC members.

Huang Yanming, chairman of Jilin committee of CPPCC, hosted the session and delivered a closing speech. "Jilin must focus on deep reforms of its old manufacturing industry, democratic supervision, as well as the economic development."

Secretary of Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China Bayin Chaolu, along with members of the national committee of the CPPCC in Jilin and officials from provincial government departments, attended the closing session.
