The 12th Jilin Provincial People's Congress opened its 6th session in the city of Changchun, the provincial capital, on Jan 15, at which Liu Guozhong, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Jilin Provincial Committee, delivered a work report and the future plan of Jilin on behalf of the provincial standing committee.

There were 463 members taking part in the conference. They are expected to submit development proposals and attend group discussions and meetings as well as a plenary meeting in the next few days.

Also present at the opening ceremony were Bayin Chaolu, the provincial Party secretary,, Huang Yanming, chairman of the Jilin Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, and other officials.
